How does this work?
Photovoltaics can be integrated into sides of the building (facade), rooftops and for glazing/skylights ultra-thin solar cells are used to create semi-transparent surfaces to generate electricity and offer the required amount of light.
What are the key benefits?

- CdTe cells perform better than Si at high temperatures due to its higher bandgap.
- CdTe panels use low-E SnO2 coated glass as the base, thereby reflecting the Heat.
- Reflects IR radiation > 1.2 mm, thereby reducing heat in the building.
- Device stack is optimal to minimize the reflectance (~5%) in the visible range. Results in reduced glare and protects other components inside the building from unwanted solar heat.
